DECISIONS

Set out below is a summary of the decisions taken at the meeting of the Residents Committee. The wording used does not necessarily reflect the actual wording that will appear in the minutes.

 

 

1.             

Appointment of Chair and Vice-Chair

 

 

Councillor Ken Smith was appointed Chair and Councillor Paul Bedforth was appointed Vice-Chair of the Maldens and Coombe Neighbourhood Committee for the 2017/18 Municipal year.

 

2.             

48 Ullswater Crescent, Kingston Vale, SW15 3RQ

 

 

This planning application was refused.  The full decision and reasoning will be published within the minutes of the meeting.

 

3.             

55 Blakes Avenue, New Malden, KT3 6RF

 

 

This planning application was permitted.  The full decision will be published within the minutes of the meeting.

 

4.             

Planning Enforcement: 70 Robin Hood Lane, Kingston Vale, SW15 3QS

 

The Committee agreed that an enforcement notice should be issued.  The full decision will be published within the minutes of the meeting.

 

5.             

Investigations into the feasibility of a pedestrian crossing on Malden Road by Plough Green Pre-School

 

 

Resolved that –

 

1.    the investigations into pedestrian crossing options set out in paragraphs 4 - 9, and the officer's recommendations be noted by Members;

 

2.    the Resident Committee be recommended to consider the installation of a pelican crossing;

 

3.    Officers continue to work with TfL to consider the feasibility of providing a Pelican crossing and if a layout that meets relevant design standards is achievable consult with interested stakeholders;

 

4.    Details of progress be provided through regular schemes updates to be reported to the meeting.
