In light of recent events and following the latest Government advice on the Coronavirus, the Council has cancelled all its scheduled council and committee meetings until 11th May 2020. At present the law does not permit local authorities to hold 'virtual' Committee meetings but the Council is committed to maintaining full transparency in the decision making process during this period and an update on how its governance will work will be provided shortly.

The Council will keep its arrangements under continual review, having regard to guidance as it emerges.

Minutes:

Councillor Roy Arora declared a personal interest in relation to application 19/02045/HOU - 37 Cromford Way, New Malden, KT3 as he knew one of the objectors who had registered to speak on the item, Mr Adrian Holder. He declared that he would not take part in the debate or vote on the item and left the meeting when that item commenced.

 

Councillor Simon Edwards declared an interest in relation to application 19/02045/HOU - 37 Cromford Way, New Malden, KT3 as his daughter lived on the Cromford Way. However he explained that his daughter had not been part of the consultation process because she lived on the other end of the road and was not adjacent to the application in question. He therefore would remain in the room for the item and take part in the debate and vote.

 

Councillors Kevin Davis and Ian George declared a personal interest in relation to application 19/02045/HOU - 37 Cromford Way, New Malden, KT3 as they knew one of the objectors who had registered to speak on the item, Mr Adrian Holder. However as they had no close relationship with the objector they declared that they would take part in the debate and vote on the item.

    Additional condition:

    No work relating to the development hereby approved, including works of demolition or preparation prior to building operations, shall take place other than between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 13:00 Saturdays and at no time on Sundays or Bank or National Holidays.

     

    Reason: To protect the occupiers of neighbouring properties from noise and disturbance outside the permitted hours during the construction period, in accordance with Policy DM10 (Design Requirements for New Developments including House Extensions) of the LDF Core Strategy Adopted April 2012.
